Monthly Meetings
Monthly Night Guild Meeting:
•GQG meets 3rd Tuesday each month at First Freewill Baptist Church, 2426 S Charles Blvd. (click here for directions)
•Meetings Start at 6:30 p.m.
•Each meeting typically lasts about 2 hours and begin with a social half hour and icebreaker event! The evenings include a short business meeting with pertinent happenings covered, and then show and tell of quilts and crafts accomplished by our members. Occasionally we will have guest speakers when the meeting will be longer. Refreshments are provided!
Monthly Day Guild Meeting:
•GQG meets 4th Friday of each month at the Pitt County Council on Aging (click here for directions)
•Meetings are from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m in the Crafts Room.
• Each meeting typically lasts about 2 hours and begin with a social half hour and icebreaker event! The evenings include a short business meeting with pertinent happenings covered, and then show and tell of quilts and crafts accomplished by our members. Occasionally we will have guest speakers when the meeting will be longer. Refreshments are provided!
Saturday Sew Day
•Every month, the Greenville Quilters Guild sponsors a Saturday Sew Day on the 4th Saturday of the month at the Pitt County Council on Aging. It is held in Small Multipurpose Room.
•Sew Day is from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
•Bring your project, sew a comfort quilt, or just meet with other members to catch up and enjoy one another's company.
The following events are open to the public but provide our members an opportunity to get together and to interact with members of the community that may not be a member of our guild. These events are not guild sponsored
Wednesday Afternoons (Quilting Bee):
•A Quilting Bee meets weekly at the Pitt County Council of Aging (Senior Center) Building, off County Home Road (click here for directions)
•Meetings are from 12:30 to about 5:00 p.m.
•Wednesday afternoon is another casual quilter’s gathering for those who enjoy spending time with friends and working on projects. There is not a scheduled program for this gathering and everyone is encouraged to bring whatever they would like to work on. It is an opportunity to socialize and if needed, receive assistance or advice with a project. All quilters of any level are welcome at the Quilting Bee.
